Today the fashion world all over mourns the sad loss of one of the most talented designers our of time, Alexander McQueen.
I have always loved McQueen’s outrageous pieces, his unconventional combination of textures, lace and occasional bold splashes of red often conjures up a disturbing yet almost ethereal world.
The good ones always go early.
Goodbye Alexander, may you find the peace that you have been longing for…

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul

Woke up to a stormy Monday morning. Here’s hoping that the rest of the week is more glorious than this!
Anthropologie‘s new catalog is out. I’ve always enjoyed browsing the lovely dresses and homewares on its website, it was such a shame that I did not buy anything on my previous trips.
Why don’t they have stores like this in Australia?
Happy Monday =)

Happy weekend everybody!
